Who We Are
Bayside Mental Health and Wellness was started in 2023 to provide better access to care in the community through in-person behavioral health care in Clearwater, Florida, and telehealth throughout the states of Florida and New Hampshire. We strive to provide a safe space where all individuals can feel seen, heard, and supported, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. Bayside Mental Health and Wellness focuses on a holistic and integrative approach to managing mental health by incorporating evidenced-based nonpharmacological methods, along with medication management, to improve the overall function and well-being of clients. Since we are a small company, we can dedicate the time and energy to partnering with the individual to focus on their specific goals to guide them to their highest potential
Dawn Chui is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Dawn has over a decade of experience treating adolescents and adults in the mental health field in various healthcare settings, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, case management, and community mental health. She has experience treating a variety of mental health conditions, including major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and polysubstance use disorder. She is experienced in conducting psychiatric evaluations, providing medication management, and offering care coordination.
Dawn is passionate about offering evidence-based holistic treatment that focuses on the specific needs of the individual and has additional training in functional and integrative treatment for anxiety. Dawn also has additional training in specific therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing. Dawn obtained an Associate’s degree in Nursing from Galen College of Nursing, a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Education from Connecticut College, and a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama.
